Some couples start to plan their wedding day years in advance, while some don’t want to put off the big day any longer and plan it in a couple of months! Richard and Carol, the bride and groom, wanted to elope but decided to plan a wedding last minute so they could enjoy it with their family and friends. We met with them just two weeks before their big day in order to get their sound and lighting wants addressed and planned out. Even though we were on a time crunch, we made it happen!
The ceremony and reception were held at The Ravington in Centerton, AR.
The building, once a grocery and hardware store built in 1907, is now an elegant, versatile space for events and weddings. For Richard and Carol’s ceremony we ran a microphone for the officiant and the translator. The bride walked down the aisle to an instrumental rendition of “A Thousand Years” by The Piano Guys. After a beautiful ceremony the newly pronounced Mr. and Mrs. walked down the aisle to “It Had To Be You” by Silk.
After, the ceremony DJ Q quickly prepared the sound and lighting for the reception while the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour outside. Following the bride and groom’s schedule the newly married couple had their first dance to “I Gotta Be” by Jagged Edge. We kept the party flowing with with a mixture of hip hop, old school and latin music. Some of the big hits were “La Duena Del Swing” by Los Hermanos Rosario, “El Beeper” by Bro Solido, and “Feels Good” by Tony! Toni! Toné!. To conclude the night, we played “Boo’d Up” by Ella Mai and sent the happy couple on their way. Thank you Richard & Carol for letting us be a part of your big day!
